lofoten island / norway
lofoten is a norwegian region in the administrative district nordland and part of an archipelago off the coast of northern norway, consisting of about 80 islands, including austvågøya, skrova, gimsøy, vestvågøy, flakstadøy, moskenesøy, værøy and røst.
the islands are well known to photographers for their special light and myriad photo opportunities. the constantly changing weather ensures that a spot can change completely several times within minutes. however, the lofoten are particularly popular, for the northern lights ...
well.....the northern lights, they were probably the most fascinating thing I have ever seen.
starting with a solar flare, ending with a reaction in our orbit, resulting in a fantastic explosion of colors in the sky. just breathtaking
this was one of the moments in my life where i was happy to be a landscape photographer, to strive for such moments.
on my first trip to the lofoten, i was only there for five days and experienced every kind of weather. from rain, wind, sun to snow, sometimes within minutes.
I made this trip with a group of 7 photographers and I was glad to make this experience.
We had a very homogeneous group and we had a lot of fun together.
the next trip to the lofoten will surely follow, i keep you up to date
